Killer Films And Glass Elevator Media Merge
NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, May 27, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Killer Films and Glass Elevator Media announced today that the two companies have merged to form Killer Content, combining the award-winning film and television production company with Glass Elevator's innovative IP incubator to focus on mainstream, multi-screen storytelling. The new company, Killer Content, is an emerging leader in entertainment for the multi-platform age.
Together, Killer Films and Glass Elevator will pursue larger market opportunities through long-standing relationships with provocative, independent voices possessing a strong track record, and the ability to nurture emerging creative talent and brands.
Over the past 15 years, Killer Films, led by Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler, has developed and produced a curated slate of award-winning film, television and digital properties, which now comprises one of the most respected filmographies in the independent entertainment world. Killer's roster of widely recognized and distinguished directors and actors ranges from Julianne Moore and Cate Blanchett, to Daniel Radcliffe and Alec Baldwin, to filmmakers Todd Haynes and Sebastian Silva. The team has produced over 70 films and has been nominated for 59 combined Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe awards.
The noted new entrant into the media world, Glass Elevator, has created a next-generation media company, the production incubator, sourcing, securing and developing a co-owned intellectual property library including YouTube stars Katie Goodman, Park Slopers' Broad Comedy, She's So Boss with Jacqueline Emerson, Real Talk with Devin Lytle, Kidnapping for Jesus by Elizabeth Rodgers, The Supermarket by Rhonda Mitrani, the musical Friends Like These, last work-shopped at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles, and a new online and mobile social content platform called Viewur.
Adrienne Becker, formerly CEO of Glass Elevator is now the CEO of Killer Content; Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler, formerly Co-Presidents of Killer Films, are now Co-Presidents of Killer Content.
Additionally, the Company announced that Union Editorial, a leading global creative editorial firm, is an investor in Killer Content. Union Editorial President Michael Raimondi joins the Company's Advisory Board which also includes film, television and digital executive Lauren Zalaznick, John Sloss of Sloss Eckhouse LawCo/Cinetic Media, music producer and CEO of the Lalabella Alliance "Commissioner" Gordon Williams, and Samuel Ing, Chairman of Inggroups, Inc.
